WHAT IS THE GENESIS PROGRAM?:

Genesis is a comprehensive counseling, educational and recreational program that seeks to prevent the onset of substance abuse in adolescents. The program provides individual, group and social skill counseling to enhance self-esteem and create positive peer networks so that each youth can fulfill his or her potential.

As role models, our staff encourages skill building, provides direction and leads activities that are positive alternatives to the street. Genesis’ mission is to provide early intervention to adolescents who are at risk, or who are involved in early stages of substance use. The program serves a wide range of adolescents, from honor students to those who have dropped out of school or are at risk of dropping out. The program addresses issues of low self-esteem and an adolescent’s loss of structure and direction.
